Adults

Some cases: ADULTS

Treatments geared towards adults are more and more common. Many corrections are possible after having established – as for children – a clinical file, which includes X-Ray studies, dental arcade mouldings, a study of the muscular and chewing functions, a health questionnaire, etc.

Such a file allows a precise diagnosis, which leads to a personalized treatment plan for each patient.

Most often, a multiband system will be used, with a vestibular technique (glued braces are visible, they are made of steel or of a transparent ceramic) or with a labial technique (braces are made of steel or gold and are invisible, since they are glued to the internal side of teeth).

The results obtained will be similar.

In some very simple cases, clear trays may be used.

In all cases, the treatment will be followed by the use of retention devices in order to maintain stable results and to prevent any recurrence.

CASE N°2

This patient has a minor alignment problem, but more importantly, bad teeth contact on the sides. If this is not treated, it could cause joint or muscle pain, headaches, or even neck pain. The patient will thus be treated, with an aesthetic gain and a proper balance of the jaws.

Some cases : Lingual orthodontics

CASE N°1

This patient is a young adult who was treated when he was a child, but who did not wear a retainer. His problems recurred, and therefore a lingual technique was applied. He now has a pleasant smile. A retention device was of course installed (glued wire).
